Send the fast-track back

"Things do not happen. Things are made to happen."
~President John F. Kennedy

This week, we continue our push to get people enrolled in the new health care coverage available January 2014.

OHA is mailing a reminder notice to Oregonians who qualify for fast-track enrollment but have not returned the fast-track form.

So far, about 75,000 Oregonians have already taken advantage of the fast-track option. They will be enrolled in health care coverage that begins January 1, 2014. We know there are more people who qualify, so we're sending out about 177,000 reminder notices this week.

Please help us spread the word to Oregonians eligible for fast-track enrollment. For people who are eligible it's the fastest and easiest way to enroll without having to fill out an application.

The new fast-track eligibility flier and copies of the fast-track reminder letters are available at www.ohp.oregon.gov.

Fast-track enrollment is available to adult Oregonians who meet qualifications for the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and:

  • Already qualify for food benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); or
  • Have a child who receives health care benefits through Healthy Kids/OHP.

In addition to our focus on fast-track, we are continuing our partnership with Cover Oregon to increase our ability to process paper applications for Medicaid and commercial plans as fast as possible.

I want to thank everyone who is working so hard to help Oregonians get the health coverage they need.
